Georgette Davey brings over 25 years of experience in academic leadership and hospitality management. 

 

 

She began her career in education as a professor at University College Suffolk, where she spent eight years delivering courses in hospitality, leisure and tourism. In 2001, Davey joined the faculty of Les Roches Global Hospitality Education, Glion’s sister school, teaching human resource management. She was also instrumental in developing curricula for the Les Roches Jin Jiang branch campus in Shanghai, China.

 

From 2006 to 2009, Davey was responsible for the development of executive education programmes at the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne. She also worked as a consultant to develop accredited hospitality management schools around the globe, including in Brazil, Kazakhstan, Lebanon and Mexico.  

 

Davey first joined Glion Institute of Higher Education in 2009, acting as Postgraduate Programme Leader and subsequently Dean of the Glion campus in Switzerland, before returning to the institution in 2013 to launch Glion’s new branch campus in London.

 

Returning to Switzerland, Davey was appointed Managing Director of Glion Institute of Higher Education in August 2017.

 

She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from University of East Anglia and a Postgraduate Diploma in International Hospitality Management from Sheffield Hallam University.
